Privacy First Approach
Fortune Wheel is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your data belongs to you, and you alone. That's why we've built our application to work entirely in your browser without any server-side data storage or tracking.
Data Collection
What We DON'T Collect:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Your selection data or history
- IP addresses or location data
- Device information or browser fingerprints
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Cookies for tracking purposes
What We DO Collect:
- Nothing. Absolutely nothing is sent to our servers.
Local Storage
All your data is stored locally in your browser using the Web Storage API (localStorage). This means:
- Your selection items and custom text are saved only on your device
- No data is transmitted to any server
- You can clear this data anytime by clearing your browser's storage
- The data persists only in your current browser on your current device
- Other users or devices cannot access your saved data
Storage Keys Used:
- •
fortune-wheel-items- Your selection options - •
fortune-wheel-custom-texts- Your custom titles and descriptions
Third-Party Services
Fortune Wheel uses minimal third-party services:
Unsplash (Template Images)
Template preview images are loaded from Unsplash's CDN. These requests may be subject to Unsplash's privacy policy. No personal data is shared with Unsplash.
Hosting Provider
Our website is hosted on a standard web hosting service. They may collect basic server logs (IP addresses, access times) for security and performance purposes. We do not have access to or use this data.
Cookies
Fortune Wheel does not use cookies. We use localStorage instead, which is a more modern and privacy-friendly way to store data locally in your browser.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect any personal data, you have complete control:
- Right to Access: All your data is visible in your browser's developer tools
- Right to Delete: Clear your browser's localStorage to remove all data
- Right to Export: You can manually export your data from localStorage
- Right to Be Forgotten: Simply stop using the service - we have nothing to forget
Children's Privacy
Fortune Wheel is safe for users of all ages. Since we don't collect any personal information, there are no special privacy concerns for children. However, we recommend parental supervision for young children using the internet.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
