Learn how to use Fortune Wheel like a pro
Quick Start
Choose Your Selection Mode
Select from three exciting modes: Fortune Wheel (spinning wheel), Slot Machine (three reels), or Ball Drop (physics-based ball drop).
Click Start
Press the "Start" button to begin the selection animation. Watch as the wheel spins, reels roll, or ball drops!
View Your Result
A beautiful modal with confetti animation will show your selected option. Click "Try Again" to make another selection.
Using Templates
Templates are pre-configured scenarios that save you time:
- Access Templates: Click "Use Template" on the home page or "Templates" in the navigation menu.
- Browse Categories: Filter templates by category (Education, Entertainment, Food, etc.) or view all.
- Select a Template: Click "Use Template" on any card to instantly load that configuration.
- Start Using: You'll be redirected to the home page with all data pre-loaded and ready to use!
💡 Pro Tip:
After loading a template, you can still customize the items, title, and button text to perfectly match your needs.
Customizing Your Data
Step 1 Open Data Editor
Click the "Edit Data" button on the home page to reveal the data editor panel.
Step 2 Customize Text Settings
- • Title: The main heading displayed above the selector
- • Description: Subtitle text explaining the purpose
- • Button Text: Custom label for the start button
Step 3 Manage Selection Options
- • Add Items: Type in the input field and press Enter or click the + button
- • Remove Items: Click the trash icon next to any item
- • Minimum: You need at least 2 items for selection
Step 4 Save Your Changes
Click "Save to Browser" to store your configuration locally. It will automatically load next time you visit!
Fullscreen Mode
Fullscreen mode provides an immersive experience perfect for presentations, classroom activities, or group events.
How to Use:
- Click the maximize icon (⛶) in the top-right corner of any selector
- The selector will expand to fill your entire screen
- Selection history appears on the right side (if available)
- Press ESC or click the minimize icon to exit fullscreen

- • Selection history panel (desktop only)
- • Result modal and confetti still work perfectly
- • Optimized layout for presentations
Selection History
Keep track of all your selections with the built-in history feature:
- • Automatic Tracking: Every selection is automatically recorded
- • Timestamps: See exactly when each selection was made
- • Collapsible Panel: Click the header to expand/collapse history
- • Last 20 Results: History keeps your most recent 20 selections
- • Always Visible: Available in both normal and fullscreen modes
📝 Note:
History is stored in your current browser session. It will be cleared when you close the browser or clear your browsing data.

Troubleshooting
Data Not Saving?
Make sure you click "Save to Browser" after making changes. Also check that your browser allows localStorage and isn't in private/incognito mode.
Animation Not Smooth?
Close other browser tabs and applications to free up system resources. The animations use hardware acceleration for best performance.
Fullscreen Not Working?
Some browsers require user interaction before allowing fullscreen. Make sure you're clicking the button directly and not using keyboard shortcuts.
